About

Meridian

ToonMate is built by Meridian, a software studio building for Africa first — Nigeria specifically, to start. Our thesis is straightforward: the continent's fastest-growing digital markets deserve software built for their realities from day one, not global products with a local skin applied afterward. That means genuine support for local languages, data that stays where local regulation requires it to stay, and pricing and infrastructure choices that make sense for the markets we actually serve.

ToonMate reflects that thesis directly. It's why character consistency and cost transparency come before flash — a small studio or an independent creator needs to trust what something will cost and how it will look before they can rely on it. It's why real Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo voiceover is a first-class feature, not an afterthought bolted on later. And it's why the underlying architecture is built with data residency in mind from the start, not retrofitted under deadline.

Meridian is privately held and self-funded in its early stages. We build carefully, test honestly, and would rather ship something real and imperfect than something polished and hollow.
